IBJJF World Master & Jiu-Jitsu Con 2026

A Weekend to Remember
What an incredible week in Las Vegas for Team Marcelo Pereira.
The IBJJF World Master Championship and Jiu-Jitsu Con brought together some of the best competitors in the world, and I could not be more proud of every athlete who stepped on those mats representing our team.
There were victories, difficult matches, emotions, lessons, and unforgettable moments. We laughed, we cried, we celebrated, and we experienced all of it together as a team.
That is what makes these trips so special.
Performance Highlights

Coach Erich Neiman
Coach Erich Neiman went from Pan Champion to World Master Champion
What a year for Erich.
Earlier in 2026, he became an IBJJF Pan Champion. Now, he has added another major title to his season: IBJJF World Master Champion.
Erich fought four tough matches, showing confidence, heart, beautiful technique, and finishing two of them by submission.
But the moment became even more special after the competition.
Erich stepped onto the highest place on the podium as a purple belt World Champion, and right there, I had the honor of promoting him to brown belt.
There could not have been a better place for that promotion.
Erich faced challenges throughout his journey, but he continued showing up, working, believing, and improving.
Pan Champion. World Master Champion. Brown belt.
That is consistency.
That is perseverance.
That is what happens when you refuse to give up.

Kyla Pereira: Another Championship Season
Kyla Pereira continued an incredible 2026 season at Jiu-Jitsu Con.
Competing as a Juvenile Blue Belt, she won all three of her matches with high-scoring performances and submissions, becoming the 2026 IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Con Champion.
She made everything look effortless, and it was beautiful to watch.
This victory comes after already becoming IBJJF Pan Champion earlier this year and earning silver at the IBJJF World Championship.
Pan Champion. World Silver Medalist. Jiu-Jitsu Con Champion.
Different tournaments. Different challenges. The same consistency.
Kyla continues to grow, learn, and show what disciplined training can produce.
Taber Jordan: Resilience in One of the Toughest Divisions
Taber Jordan stepped into one of the toughest divisions of Jiu-Jitsu Con, with 33 athletes in the bracket, and once again showed the heart and resilience that define him as a competitor.
He won three matches, all by submission, displaying beautiful jiu-jitsu and determination throughout the tournament.
He finished with a bronze medal, but the medal tells only part of the story.
Three submissions in a division that deep is something to be proud of.
Taber’s resilience is unmatched. He keeps stepping into difficult situations, keeps challenging himself, and keeps moving forward.
That is how champions are built.
Lamar: Silver in Gi, Champion in No-Gi
Lamar also had an outstanding Jiu-Jitsu Con.
He fought with heart and put together an amazing performance in the Gi division, battling his way to the final and earning a silver medal in a very challenging division.
Then he came back for No-Gi.
And this time, he finished on top.
Jiu-Jitsu Con No-Gi Champion.
To compete in both divisions, face tough matches, experience the disappointment of losing a final, and then come back ready to fight again says a lot about an athlete.
That is heart.
That is mental strength.
That is jiu-jitsu.
Proud of Every Athlete Who Represented Our Team
Andrew, Matheus, Miko, Mark, Mitchell, Amelia, and every athlete who represented Team Marcelo Pereira during this trip: I am proud of you.
We Did It Together

Not every tournament ends with a medal, but every time you accept the challenge and step onto those competition mats, you grow.
Competition teaches us about preparation, discipline, pressure, resilience, and ourselves.
Winning is special, but the courage to compete matters too.
And through everything, we did it together.
We traveled together. We supported each other. We laughed. We cried. We celebrated. We learned.
This is Team Marcelo Pereira.
This is what our academy stands for.
We are more than teammates.
We are family.
And whether we are standing on top of the podium or returning to the academy with lessons to work on, the answer is always the same.
Back to the mats.
Back to work.
On to the next one.
